Odette publishes Security Features to consider when using REST APIs (OA3)

This latest Odette publication provides guidelines on how to address the security features of APIs. It is not intended as a complete and detailed catalogue of all possible security measures but will give interested parties best practice recommendations and other hints to be considered when developing and implementing APIs. Specific needs and concrete measures must, of course, be assessed by each company’s IT and security experts based on the nature and detailed requirements of their business processes and transactions.

Security Features to consider when developing APIs forms a major constituent of an API Toolbox, currently under development by Odette members, which lays out the rules for a standardised and harmonised approach to the development of REST APIs, so that they are simple, scalable and provide maximum benefit.
